A young director by the name of David Guivant has made an interesting post in our forum. It turns out David is working on an INVINCIBLE IRON MAN independent shortfilm based on the Marvel Comic book character, a non profit project which will be released online on the 19th of October.

Following the footsteps of SIN CITY and SKY CAPTAIN, this shortfilm combines live action footage and 2D Frame by frame animation.

Also, according to David “Many characters from the MARVEL UNIVERSE will make special appearances, one of them is a very famous secret agent with a cigar and eyepatch”

While David’s projects is in Post-production a teaser has already been posted online.

“I hear you all loud and clear,” wrote Favreau.  “You want to see the footage that we brought to SDCC.  Why not post it in HD instead of having everyone download a grainy bootleg?  I agree.  I am trying to get a version out to you ASAP.  This is a big movie, however, and it takes time to get the proper approvals from all parties involved.  I am happy to report that both Marvel and Paramount have agreed to get a version of the footage out to you very soon.  I will report the specifics when I get them.  Thanks for your enthusiasm and patience.”

There’s still no news with regards to when the studio plans to release the footage.
